Community Recycling and Composting Drop Off
Good for the Planet
Every week we invite members of the community to drop off specific waste items for composting and recycling.
Where: Audubon Park near Audubon Golf Course Pro Shop
When: Thursdays from 4-5:30pm
Organic waste is composted locally. Items accepted include frozen fruit and veggie scraps, egg shells, and coffee grounds.
Shellfish shells are repurposed in costal restoration projects. Items accepted include shells from clams, mussels, oysters, and scallops.
E-waste is collected and coltan is recycled to reduce habitat destruction. Items accepted include cell phones, smartphones, ipads, ipods, tablets, apple watches, and headphones.
