All online purchases and transactions made with Audubon Nature Institute including but not limited to admission ticket and/or Memberships purchases, your name, telephone number, e-mail address, billing and/or shipping addresses and credit card information will be required to process your order. Your credit card information will be used only as needed to process your transaction. By performing an online transaction in an Audubon Nature Institute online store, you agree to receive marketing communications from Audubon Nature Institute. You can always opt out of email communication if you don’t wish to receive any more. Your information will never be shared with or sold to third parties.

Children Thirteen and Under

Photography Policy
When you attend an Audubon Nature Institute, Inc. (“Audubon”) attraction, event, or program, you enter an area where photography, as well as audio and video recording, may occur.

By attending Audubon attractions, events, or programs, you grant permission to Audubon to use, or authorize others to use, any photograph, motion picture, image, recording, or any other record of your participation at the attraction, in the event or in the program, in perpetuity, in all media and means, now known or hereafter developed or discovered, for commercial purposes or any other legitimate purpose whatsoever. You further release Audubon, including, but not limited to, its officers, employees, agents, contractors, and representatives, from any and all liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings relating to your participation in the event or program in question.

By attending the attraction, event, or program, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by Audubon or the person or entity designated to do so by Audubon. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event or program.

Information Automatically Collected at Audubon Zoo - Official Mobile App
When you use the App, we automatically collect specific data that are required for use of the App. This data includes:

  • Location, accuracy and date/time periodically throughout the day (only while at the attraction)
  • Each visit to the attraction including date/time first seen and last seen
  • Operating system
  • Operating system version
  • Device name
  • Battery level
  • Battery status (charging or not)
  • Bluetooth status (on or off)
  • Mobile network carrier name
  • Currently connected Wi-Fi SSID
  • Location permission status (on or off)
  • IP address
  • User's preferred locale
  • Current time zone
  • App version and build number
  • App interactions (captured as events fed to Firebase Analytics and Keen IO)
  • Date/time entered/exited geofence region (if you enter an offered geofence region)

This data is automatically sent to Attactions.io, (1) so that we can make the service and the associated functions available to you; (2) to improve the functions and features and rectify malfunctions of the App; (3) to prevent misuse and (4) to offer you a personalized guest experience and is to be provided to Audubon Nature Institute, Inc. upon its request. This data processing is justified on the basis that (1) the processing is required in order to fulfil the requirements of the contract between you as the data subject and us in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the use of the App, or (2) we have a legitimate interest in guaranteeing the functionality and fault-free operation of the App and being able to offer a service that is in line with the requirements of the market and with the interests of the users and prevails over your rights and interests in the protection of your personal data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
