School Break Camps
at Audubon Zoo
Winter Camp • Mardi Gras Camp • Spring Break Camp
Kindergarten - 4th Grade
Safe, engaging, and adventure-packed days designed to make school breaks unforgettable.
Let your child go wild this year at Audubon Zoo’s School Break Camps! Campers will enjoy the Zoo as their playground as they discover the wonders of nature through animal-themed games, hands-on activities, and exploration of our Zoo habitats.
We’ve updated our ticketing system! Registration will look a little different this year.
You will purchase your child’s camp registration directly on this page (see camp details below), and then receive a follow-up email from [email protected] with a link to provide additional details and complete your child’s registration.
Based on camper family feedback, we’re returning to weekly camp registration rather than by the day.
Thank you for your patience as we transition to our new system!

Audubon Camps are traditional camps that welcome all children to join in our exploration of nature. Our camp days are very active and engage campers in a variety of activities with quick transitions and sensory changes throughout the day. All campers are expected to follow directions, adhere to safety rules, and behave according to our Code of Conduct ("Be Kind, Be Respectful, Stay with the Group").
Our camp day experience includes:
Our team is happy to work with campers and their families to make each child feel welcome and included in a safe environment. We are unable to provide one-on-one support (including assisting campers in the bathroom) or administer medication. Campers are welcome to attend with 1:1 aides or paraprofessionals – please notify us in advance at [email protected].
Camp activities are tailored to your camper’s grade level. Campers will be divided into groups based on the grade they are registered for (Kindergarten, 1st–2nd Grade, 3rd–4th Grade). Specific group requests will be noted, but we cannot guarantee accommodation.
Camper safety is our top priority. Supervision is maintained at the following ratios: 6:1 (Kindergarten) and 8:1 (1st–4th Grade). Audubon Camps also follow a “Rule of Three,” meaning campers are never left unsupervised and are always in a group of at least three individuals, one of whom is a staff member. All staff undergo a federal background check and drug test prior to employment and are trained in emergency procedures.
