Inside the Louisiana Swamp Exhibit.

Enjoy authentic Louisiana cooking with Creole and Cajun favorites like chicken and sausage gumbo, shrimp po-boys, and boudin balls. For something extra, try our crawfish poutine or catfish nugget basket — all made to order in a music-filled, swamp-side setting.

No visit to Audubon Zoo is complete without this classic New Orleans sweet. The Roman Candy Company, famous for its iconic white-and-red wagon, has delighted families for over 100 years.

Our homemade taffy, once sold for just 5 cents a stick until 1970, remains a beloved tradition. Stop by to enjoy a piece of New Orleans history — a treat as nostalgic as it is delicious.

Flamingo Café

Inside the Zoo entrance by the Flamingo Exhibit.

Start your Zoo day or take a quick break at Flamingo Café, a shaded snack stop right by our flamingo flock.
